Top 10 interior designers in Dubai: who writes the lists

A search for the top 10 interior designers in Dubai returns ranked lists, and a list is only as useful as its method. Six of them, five dated between October 2025 and August 2026 and one undated, all online on 26 September 2026, are set side by side below: who wrote each one, who it puts first, whether it says how it ranked, and whether it prints a single fee. After them come the checks no list makes for you.

Six lists, side by side

Read the third column first. A firm that ranks itself first may still do fine work, but its list tells you about its marketing rather than the market. The directory is the only one of the six to publish weights for its criteria; it also states that paid listings do not change a firm's rank, sells featured placement as a separate product and offers ranked firms a badge for their websites. Not one of the six prints a price for a firm it names, so none can tell you whether a studio fits your budget.

Which names recur on the top 10 lists?

About forty firms fill the ranked places across the six lists, and few appear more than once. Anarchitect is in five of the top tens and among the directory's honourable mentions; Bishop Design and XBD Collective are in four each; Zen Interiors is in three. Two more names turn up under slightly different spellings from list to list, so they are left out of the count.

Recurrence shows which firms other writers already know. It says nothing about fees, about the licence a firm holds, or about whether it takes on a one-bedroom flat as readily as a villa, and those three questions decide whether a studio belongs on your list.

Which interior design firms in Dubai print their fees?

A printed fee lets you hold a proposal to the firm's own number. These studios and design-and-build firms print one on their own sites, grouped by how they charge rather than ranked:

• Per square metre: Couture Luxury Interior Design charges AED 120 for homes of 1,000 m² or more, AED 130 from 750 m² and AED 140 from 500 m², with smaller homes quoted on request; Amitis Design prints AED 150 to 200 for projects above 800 m².
• A percentage or a flat fee: AI Designs prints 10 to 20 percent of the project cost, or a fixed fee from AED 20,000 up to AED 150,000 and more; Euphoria Interiors prints the same 10 to 20 percent.
• By the hour or the visit: Dehleez Studio, a junior designer at AED 150 to 300 per hour and a mid-level one at AED 300 to 600; AI Designs, a half-day consultation at AED 2,500; Algedra, a one-off consultation at AED 2,000 to 6,000.
• By the room: Studio 11, with room design priced at living room AED 40,000 to 120,000, kitchen AED 50,000 to 150,000 and bathroom AED 30,000 to 100,000.
• Design and build: Spazio starts partial villa projects at AED 80,000 to 150,000 and full villa design and fit-out at AED 250,000 to 1,000,000 and more.

Two names from the lists appear among the fee printers too: Algedra, with the consultation fee above, and Fajr Interiors, which prints a general range of AED 75 to 400 per sq ft for Dubai's design agencies rather than a fee of its own. How do you check an interior designer's licence in Dubai?

Ask for two documents and check one register. The trade licence, issued by Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism, lists the firm's activities. For building work inside a home, Dubai Municipality's classification has two decoration activities, Interior Decoration and Decoration Design and Implementation, both of which supplement a main contracting activity, and its décor circular requires the work to be done by a contractor it has accredited. In Abu Dhabi the check is DMT's public register of classified engineering firms, 5,232 entries with a star rating against each. A studio that only designs does not build, so a separately licensed contractor carries out its drawings and the proposal should name who. What should your own top 10 look like?

Shorter than ten, and matched to the job. Three written proposals on one brief compare better than ten names, and the brief decides who belongs on it.

• The scope: design only, or design and build. A studio that draws and a firm that also builds answer different briefs, as our two routes compared explains.
• The size of the job: Couture prices by the square metre only from 500 m², and Spazio's partial villa work starts at AED 80,000, so a one-bedroom flat and a large villa need different lists.
• The emirate: the firm that builds needs registration where the home is, Municipality accreditation in Dubai and a DMT classification in Abu Dhabi.
• The fee method: ask each firm to state it the same way: a percentage of what, a rate on which area, or a flat sum for which drawings.
• The proof: finished homes in the portfolio rather than only showrooms or offices, and a client from a completed project you can speak to.
