How much does bathroom interior design cost in Dubai?
Bathroom design is the part of a villa where the layout is hardest to change later. The floor falls toward the drain, the door swings into a wet zone, the vanity sits where the pipes already run, and the ventilation has to clear the steam before the mirror fogs. Get those right on paper and the finishes are a matter of taste. Get them wrong and the tiling, the joinery and the lighting all have to be undone.
We price a bathroom as one room inside the villa design, from the layout, the stone, the fittings and the finish list. Our interior design engagement starts from AED 10,000, and a full villa design and build starts from AED 80,000. The bathroom figure is written once we know the room size, the fixtures and the finish, so send those and we come back with it.
Layout comes first. We set the shower or bath, the toilet and the vanity so the drain falls where the floor can carry it, and so the door does not hit a basin. In a villa that usually means a conversation with the plumber before any tile is chosen, because a moved drain is the most expensive change in the room.
Materials come second, and in Dubai they are chosen for humidity and heat. Porcelain and natural stone need a slip rating for wet floors and a sealer that holds up to daily use. Timber vanities need a finish that survives steam. Metal fittings need to be the grade that does not pit in the salt air near the coast. We list each material with its supplier and lead time, so nothing is picked on a showroom photo alone.
Lighting and ventilation finish the room. A mirror light at face height, a ceiling light on its own switch, and an extractor sized to the room volume cost little to plan and a lot to fix later. We set them in the same drawing as the layout so the electrician and the fit-out team work from one set of plans.
A bathroom is part of the villa brief, not a separate job. The design work for it is priced inside the design fee for the villa, and the build is priced as part of the fit-out. If you are renovating a single bathroom in an apartment, it is a smaller brief with its own quote. Our villa interior design page shows how the rooms are grouped, and design fees shows the methods we use to set the fee.
The same team usually designs the bedroom and the kitchen in the same villa, so the bathroom finishes match the rest of the house. Where a bathroom sits next to a bedroom, we keep the stone and the metal finishes in one palette, so the rooms read as one house.
Settle the layout and the drain first. Then the waterproofing, which the fit-out contractor applies before tiling and which we inspect before any finish goes on. Then the stone and the fittings, because natural stone and some brass or matte black finishes carry long lead times. Lighting and the extractor go in last, but they are drawn in at the start.
Doing it in this order is what keeps a bathroom on schedule. Most delays we see come from fittings ordered after the tiles were laid, not from the build itself.
Send the room size, photos of the current room, the sanitaryware you have picked or want to see, and the stone or tile you like. If you do not know yet, say what the room needs to do: a family bathroom, a master en suite, a guest powder room. That is enough for us to come back with a layout, a finish list and a written price.
Community, the room size, and any photos or drawings. We come back on WhatsApp with a written price.
